Our stylists will assist you in your hair journey, whether ongoing or new! We will equip you with a wealth of knowledge on the proper care and maintenance of your new low effort style. We pride ourselves on being problem solvers. Be it style or budget, our goal is to always create a style that not only suits the physical you, but your budget as well. Designing a maintenance schedule with your budget in mind, because 6-8 weeks isn't the norm anymore. Our guests typically see their stylist every 3-6 months! We specialize in working with your natural texture, lived in highlights and vivid colors, grey blending techniques and offer complimentary bang/neck trims between appointments. All to help you gain longevity in between your visits.
Our stylists are educated to work with ALL textures and believe in fair pricing. Your service price is based on time, not texture. Education is important to us. Our team has training with Forever Curls Academy, DevaCurl, and Curl Cult. From curls to a sleek bob, we've gotcha covered.

Emmery Purfield (she/her)

Emmery has been working in the hair industry for several years. She has taken classes with Devacurl and Forever Curls Academy, giving her a deep passion for textured hair. Emmery loves to help clients work with their natural texture and teach them how to achieve a style that is, both fashionable and functional! She absolutely loves working with color and is all about creating a plan to make your hair dreams a reality. Whether natural or fun fashion colors, she’s got you covered! When she’s not behind the chair, Emmery loves to run, collect plushies and explore the city with her husand.

Julia specializes in dry curly cuts and androgynous/ungendered hairstyles. She aims to work with clients current routine and effort level to give them hairstyles they can easily replicate without changing their routine. She thrives in vivid fashion colors and highlights that enhance curl definition. Julia aims to take hair frustrations and come up with attainable solutions to give you the hair of your dreams! Julia spends her free time, cooking, snuggling her cat and taking walks around south Philly. She loves to try new restaurants and is a lover of sports.

Shelly Elfreth (she/her)
Owner and Stylist | @woah_shelly_hair
Shelly has been licensed since 2007 and specializes in low maintenance cuts and color ranging from blonde to bold and bright vivids to grey blending. Over the years she has made the shift to making sure clients spend less time in the salon but still receive exceptional service. Focusing on color that requires less maintenance overall and cuts that grow out with ease. Shelly is a great problem solver and can help anyone achieve the hair they want, while maintaining natural texture and simple at home styling. Outside of the salon, Shelly is a mom, crafter/artist and nature lover. Often hiking, camping and traveling whenever possible.
